Mastering Tax Representation Challenges
An experienced panel of tax problem-solving professionals will walk through four client cases from start to finish. Using real-world examples, the panel will show how seasoned practitioners conduct due diligence, evaluate resolution options, implement the best strategy and help clients stay compliant going forward. Topics include relief for a client with multiple years of penalties, bringing a multi-year nonfiler back into compliance while addressing a balance due, evaluating options for a taxpayer with significant debt and limited ability to pay, and navigating an S corporation field audits. Participants will leave with practical insight into handling common and complex tax problems, including unfiled returns, IRS audits, collection agreements and penalty relief.
